I am passionate about printmaking and in particular the specialisms of wood engraving, woodcuts and linocuts. I love the sensation of cutting through the surface of a block to leave a raised black line and the element of risk of working a negative image onto the surface. I have been printmaking for a few years now, coming to the medium through textile printing and then continuing and developing the practice onto paper. Initially, my inspiration came from the use of textile techniques such as hand stitched lines and folds in fabric.
